Interesting - I had a similar experience last Fall with Acura. They actually damaged my car while it was in their shop and then they spent the next month giving me the run around about fixing it, the extent of the damage they caused and who should be responsible. In the end I talked to the owner of the dealership as well as the companies customer service and got no where. I have owned 4 Acuras over the last 20 years and will never buy another one again.

I am not sure how Acura can consider themselves a luxury car maker. I have a 2008 Acura TL Type-S and that thing has been in the shop more than it should for a car that is 40k. The dealer experience has been absolutely terrible. Acura is a 2nd rate brand with 4th rate customer service. The road noise in this car is horrible and the front seats suck. Last time I ever purchase another Honda product. Acura is just a very expensive Honda. There is no real difference between the brands now. There is one difference, Hondas are better looking than the Acuras. The new Acuras are butt ugly!!!!!

Do you think it is reasonable to ask a private business to pay a $2,000 repair bill because a vehicle is outside the warranty period?
